Artist's Statement

Painting is my passion. For as long as I can remember art has been a source of joy and expression and interpretation of the world I live in, from drawing on the walls behind the couch and creating worlds with modeling wax as a young child, through high school art classes to my current compulsion to paint. My inspiration comes from nature and inner vision. I paint in oil, pastels, acrylic, watercolors, and pencil and ink on canvas, wood paper, sidewalks and any other medium that is at hand, and my art ranges from the realistic to the surreal, from the primitive to the sublime. I do original and commissioned artwork.
