Kimberly Suzanne SchneemanArtist's Statement Kimberly earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Art 2002. She lives in Mount Shasta and is a Board Member of Siskiyou Arts Council. She works in many mediums . Her work is versatile and mainly deals with social issues and resonates a sense of art history. She uses many different forms of mediums ~ found objects, painting, drawing, videography, photography, mono-printing and multimedia sculpture installations to communicate and create dialogue with her audience. She has worked with at-risk youth to teach them other methods of expressing themselves and illustration to children at the Rogue Gallery and Art Center. Recently she has contributed to the world of art in public places by working for the famous Christo during "The Gates Project" in Central Park, NY . As a new community member in Mount Shasta she has hooked up with an amazing group of professionals on the Siskiyou Arts Council to continue and pursue the mission of the arts by bringing heart and vitality to our communities, and to foster a spirit of creativity and prosperity through excellence in the arts by providing grant-writing services. She continues to produce work and is available for gallery installations and videography.
