Mt Shasta City Dance Theater has welcomed talented new company members this winter and is going on tour in Siskiyou County California with H2O Manifesto and a new kids’ program Dances and Stories about Nature and Human Nature.
MSCDT was founded in 2005 by Artistic Director Krista Miller who serves as MSCDT’s resident choreographer and director.
Mt Shasta City Dance Theater is committed to challenging and nurturing the human spirit through a union of contemporary dance, theater, mixed media, and vocal performing arts. Performances are crafted to entertain and to inspire new and deeper personal meaning beyond the movement, music, and story.
Further, through education and outreach, the company fosters collaboration among communities wrestling with complex social questions, makes performances and discussions available to the traditionally underserved, and explores issues of everyday life that have crossover application throughout the country and beyond.
