Roni MarshRoni Marsh, a resident of Dunsmuir, CA, expresses her passion for the Pacific Northwestern landscape through her pastel and oil paintings, painting on location as often as possible. She teaches painting in both mediums both in Mt. Shasta, CA, and in Medford, Oregon. She is a Master Signature Member of the Pastel Society of Oregon, a Signature Member of the Northwest Pastel Society, and a Signature Member of the Sierra Pastel Society. Her work has won numerous awards on both National and International levels.
"In my paintings, I like to contrast the frailties and vulnerabilities of nature against her strength and power. With all of the destructive force that nature is capable of, there is a side of her that gently persists, free of any struggle. There is always a balance between the two. Sometimes, I just focus on that balance, on life in quiet repose."
