Fred Gordon

Fred has exhibited his artwork throughout the western United States for the past thirty years. His paintings and sculpture reflect his interest in aquatic subjects, especially fish, riparian habitats, and fly-fishing.

"Nature will always supply me with an endless source of inspiration by its beauty, nobility, and sheer struggle for survival. I strive to bring the viewer's attention to both the beauty and the vulnerability of our threatened wilderness."

"Through my art and fly fishing I have made many friends and allies who have shared my love and concerns about the natural world."

Fred is also the premier fly fishing guide and instructor on the Sacramento, McCloud and Pit Rivers that run throughout Northern California. He has fished the Sacramento River continuously for over forty years and served as a guide in Shasta and Siskiyou Counties for over thirty years.

Fred is of the rivers--and so is his work...
