Artist's Statement

BETH BEURKENS, M.A. is a poet, non-fiction and travel writer, as well as a teacher of shamanism. She is the author of Shaman’s Eye and By the Light of Our Dreams. She is the editor of Shaman: SpiritWalker, the 2010 Wall Calendar with Amber Lotus Publishing. Beth is on the faculty of the College of the Siskiyous and the Foundation for Shamanic Studies, and is a poet-teacher with California Poets in the Schools. She leads the innovative writing program, “The Courage to Write,” in Mount Shasta, helping writers to go deeper and express themselves more powerfully. She is currnetly at work on her next collection of poetry.
