The Downtown Friday Night Art Walks program was launched during the summer of 2003 by the Siskiyou Arts Council and JEDI (the Jefferson Economic development Institute). Through 2004 and 2005, community organizers took over the ceation of these Downtown Friday Night events, and Art Walk events have been held in Mt. Shasta, Weed (as part of the Wildflower Fest), Dunsmuir, McCloud and Tulelake.

Mt. Shasta's Third Friday Art Walk 2006 season begins April 21st, sponsored by the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce as we team up this year for a weekend of art. Friday "kicks-off" the 2006 season with the Third Friday Art Walk from 5-8 P.M. on 4/21 and the art keeps happening in downtown Mt. Shasta Saturday and Sunday 4/22-23 with the Book and Art Walk.

All artists and businesses are invited to attend this unique community event featuring local art, artists, and merchants. Volunteers and art teachers are also needed! Contact us today! the first deadline for registration is Wed., April 5th!
